Tired of spinning my wheels at Party's 5/10 six-max games, I decided to try their 5/10 full ring.
Wow.
True, I only played for a few hours and about 500 hands or so, but in that time those games were loose/passive beyond belief. I flopped the idiot-end of a straight from the small blind. Six people in. I checked, got a late position bettor, and check-raised. Every single player between us--all four--cold-called the two bets. The board didn't get scary, and I ended up getting called down on the river by some guy who had flopped middle pair and didn't improve.
In six-max, I'm check-raised or raised on the turn just about every other hand. At the full ring games, I can remember getting raised about three times over all those hands. But I keep repeating to myself: it's only 500 hands, anything can happen, it's only 500 hands....
I will have to investigate further, however.

Well, it's tax season (at least it is for procrastinators like me).
Articles like this one always make one feel cozy and warm. Anyone know of a good CPA?

Alas, there will be no poker for me this weekend. I'm going out of town to visit family.
