The PartyPoker 5/10 SH game is depressingly tight on weeknights now. There's always the occasional complete donk, but it often seems as though four or five of the people at any given table are tight, aggressive and at least semi-skilled.
So even though there are hands like this one,

...it seems somewhat difficult to do well. There are still a lot of guys who won't pay you off with A-high or bottom pair--heck won't even be playing hands that make bottom pair.
Weekends are a completely different story. Friday, Saturday and even Sunday nights are still swimming with the softest, plumpest fish. But for some reason weekdays seem to be increasingly the domain of solid players.
Absolute
One site that is making steady improvements is Absolute Poker. At one point, they were a small site with clunky, buggy software, tight players and completely unpleasing aesthetics. They are the site that despite handing out hundreds of bonus dollars a month, people--and we're talking hardcore bonus whores, here--still would not play there.
Now they are a medium site, with improved (although still slightly buggy) software, and somewhat looser players and a better looking interface. Whereas playing there used to be somewhat unpleasant, I now find myself enjoying it. It used to be a site where half the hands would be a preflop raiser against one of the blinds, and the other half were folded around, but now I raise and often enough get three or four callers.
They still hand out bonus dollars by the barrel-full, including occasional unrestricted bonuses (straight cash for deposits that have no hand requirements attached), and so Absolute has finally worked its way into my regular rotation. One other good thing about the site is that, in comparison to some other sites, their customer support is great.
Give Absolute a try.
